Meet the Factory: Deer Valley Homes for Paris, Lamar County

Meet Deer Valley Homebuilders, the Guin, Alabama factory behind three homes at Henly Homes in Sulphur Springs, and what Paris, TX buyers should look for.

11/2/2026

If you are shopping for a manufactured or modular home around Paris or anywhere in Lamar County, TX, you will eventually ask the question that matters most: who actually built this house? At Henly Homes in Sulphur Springs, three of the Deer Valley homes on the lot — The Old Hay Barn, The Woodside C and the Aimon C 4BR — come from the same factory. This post introduces that factory, Deer Valley Homebuilders, explains how it says it builds, and shows what Henly carries from them, so a Paris family can drive the roughly 50 miles to Sulphur Springs already knowing what to look for.

Who is Deer Valley Homebuilders?

Deer Valley Homebuilders, Inc. is a factory-built housing manufacturer based at 205 Carriage Street in Guin, Alabama. On its own site the company describes itself as a builder of "energy-efficient, heavily constructed factory-built homes," and it builds both manufactured and modular homes.

What "Heavy Built" means

Deer Valley's marketing centers on a phrase it has made its own: "Heavy Built." The company's "Why Choose Deer Valley" page spells out what it says goes into a standard home, and these are the details worth checking when you tour one:

  • 2x6 exterior walls with R-19 insulation
  • #1 and #2 lumber — the company states, "We do not use #3 lumber or culls"
  • 2x8 floor joists with double perimeter rails (2x10 joists available), over 23/32" OSB floor decking
  • Tech Shield radiant-barrier roof decking and a minimum R-30 in the roof
  • 1/2" finished sheetrock throughout the entire home, with 8' ceilings standard and 8'6" or 9' options
  • Heritage DP-50 Low-E argon-filled windows with a lifetime window warranty, 38x82 steel entry doors with deadbolts, and a minimum 50-gallon water heater
  • KCMA-certified cabinets and an Ecobee smart thermostat

Those are the manufacturer's own stated specifications, not an independent inspection. The practical point for a buyer in Lamar County is that Deer Valley publishes a specific list, so you can ask the Henly team to point to each item on the home in front of you.

The Deer Valley lineup

Deer Valley's site refers to its Deer Valley, Woodland and Sun Valley series, and its menu also lists a Mossy Oak Nativ Living line, a Signature Series and Barndominiums. The company builds both manufactured and modular homes, and the same floor plan can sometimes be ordered either way.

That last distinction is worth a minute. A manufactured home is built to the federal Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards and carries a HUD certification label — a small metal plate attached to the outside of the home — plus an interior data plate that lists the manufacturer, model, date of manufacture and the wind, snow and roof load zones the home was designed for. A modular home is built to state and local building codes instead. Which one fits your land and your lender can differ, so ask the Henly office which code a specific floor plan is built to before you fall in love with it.

What Henly Homes carries from Deer Valley

Henly Homes lists Deer Valley among its twelve builder partners, and three Deer Valley homes are on the lot in Sulphur Springs with public pricing:

The Old Hay Barn — $371K. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2,460 square feet, 45' x 62'. This is the home Henly tags "Popular" on its home page, and the name tells you the style: a barn-inspired exterior with a full-size family layout inside.

The Woodside C — $283K. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2,115 square feet, 47' x 66'. A wider footprint that lives more like a site-built ranch.

Aimon C 4BR — $244K. 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2,160 square feet, 32' x 76'. The four-bedroom option in the group, listed on Henly's site as a manufactured home.

Prices shown are the figures on henlyhomes.com as of this writing and can change; the site also shows an estimated monthly figure next to each home. Henly Homes says its pricing is deliberately set below competitors — that is the dealer's own claim, so confirm what the number includes when you visit. Henly also runs its own construction company for pads, utilities, land clearing, driveways and setup, which matters for a rural Lamar County site where the home is only part of the project.

Why the factory matters to a Paris buyer

Two things about Henly Homes make the Deer Valley relationship more useful than a brochure. First, Henly has been family-owned since 2000 and handles service and warranty in-house, so the people who sold you the home are the ones who answer the phone afterward. Second, Henly says every new home it sells, Deer Valley included, comes with a lifetime warranty at no cost. Read the terms on the warranty page before you sign, but it is a real differentiator when you compare dealers.

Henly already lists Paris in its Northeast Texas service area. Walking an actual Deer Valley home — knocking on the 2x6 walls, opening the steel doors, looking at the data plate — will tell you more than any spec sheet.
